Place of initial medical examination and treatment registration and procedures for health insurance
Students with health insurance can choose where to register for initial medical examination and treatment. They are entitled to do so at one of the health insurance facilities at the commune, district, and equivalent levels and can change the place at the beginning of each quarter.
When going to receive health insurance, students must present one of the following documents:
- Health insurance card with valid term or image on VssID application - Digital social insurance and photo identification.
- Citizen identification card with a chip or electronic VneID application with integrated health insurance card information.
Rest assured, health insurance cards are either newly issued or renewed annually for students in general, higher, and vocational education institutions.
Firstly, health insurance cards are newly issued or renewed annually for students of general education, higher education, and vocational education institutions.
- For first graders: Health insurance cards are valid from October 1st of the first year of primary school.
- For 12th graders: The card is valid until September 30th of the school year.
- For first-year students of the course: The card is valid from the time of admission, except for the case where the card of a 12th grader is still valid.
Final-year students of the course: The health insurance card is valid until the last day of the month the course ends.
Second, the validity of the health insurance card corresponds to the amount of health insurance payment according to the number of months the student has participated.
